I Pray That.............December 2008

With all the praise, honor and glory to my savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without judgment or offense.

I Pray that we "Appreciate the ability".

I've begun to reflect on why I have been given some of the abilities I have. I have the ability to do a few things well and because of this, I live the same. I've often wondered in my life "why me" why do I have to be the one that has to do this and has to do that, and how did someone elses situation become my burden, but do you know that if God had taken away the things that I used to complain about the most, I WOULD BE NOTHING TODAY.

I've begun to take stock of my God given abilities and have I am truly appreciative of them. I truly understand that to whom much is given much is required. I now know why I have the abilities that I do and for whom they are to be used for.
Our God given abilities and gifts are not for our benefit but for the benefit of others and the glorification of God. So the next time you feel like complaining about your abilities, just imagine life without them.

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

AMEN

Joke of the Month................December 2008

A two-year-old boy scared his parents by disappearing during their lakeside vacation. More than a dozen people searched the forest and shoreline for him. They eventually found him playing calmly in the woods. Once everyone calmed down his mother pulled him aside and said "Listen to me, from now on when you want to go someplace, you tell Mommy first, okay?" Pondering what his mother just said, the boy went silent for a moment and said: "Okay, Disney World."..

Monthly Praise and Worship Song..........December 2008

This Months' Praise and Worship Song is........... "Get Up" by Mary Mary.

Sister Daveen picked this song, apparently she can't get it out of her head. Seems every time we talk on the phone, this is the song she keeps asking me to make the song of the month. We hope this song will lead you "get up" and do good work in your life. Life is too short and many of us spend the time just wandering around aimlessly. As the song says "24 hours almost gone, GET UP"!!!

You can buy listen to it on the BLOG or buy it on ITUNES, or i if you like a copy I can email you a MP3 of it.

SEE KIDS THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER SWALLOW YOUR BUBBLE GUM

I Pray That............. November 2008

With all the praise, honor and glory to my savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without judgment or offense.

I Pray that we are "Thankful and grateful".

Over the last few weeks I have been trying to think of more ways to show God how "Thankful and Grateful" I am for all he continues to do for our family.

Many times during the day I find myself in reflection of the goodness of God .

I think of how a few weeks ago God allowed me to sign the papers for the adoption of my daughter and for that I'm "Thankful and grateful".

I think of how God brought my brother through the surgery without infection and for that I'm "Thankful and grateful".

I think of how God enriched our family this year with three (not two or one) new babies and with loving arms we welcome Rehemia, Sai'onie and Nasir and for that I'm "Thankful and grateful".

I often think of my own mortality and I thank God that no one has been taken from our family and for that I'm "Thankful and grateful" too.

I think of how God has allowed my son to be in honors classes, and year after year after year, and as recently as yesterday God allowed him to get honored at school for his academic prowess with 2 blue ribbons and for that I'm "Thankful and grateful".

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

AMEN

A Good Laugh

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. 'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said as he surveyed the worried faces.'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves.

'The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, 'Well, how much does a brain cost?'The doctor quickly responded, '$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain.

'The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask,

'Why is the male brain so much more?'The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure.

We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used.

Stay in Prayer

Hey Fam,
As you know, today my brother, your brother, your father, your grandfather and your uncle Robert C Fields Sr. is having major surgery today.
I am asking that everyone stay in prayer today and if you can only get a moment to pray, while in prayer ask God to see him through this surgery and ask God to see that the Doctors are of steady hand and ask God to see that the anesthesiologist is attentive and ask God to see that the operating utensils and room are clean and free of infectious germs and ask God to see that he makes a full recovery and free of long term pain and suffering.

I ask that you say this Prayer in the name of Jesus

Amen

In return for asking all of that of God, you should give him something in return. If there is something you do every day, sacrifice it today as a way of fasting and cleansing yourself for the love of God. I am fasting today; I will not eat any solid foods. I have not solid eaten solid food since 7:00pm yesterday evening and I will not eat solid food until I go to work tomorrow at 7:00am.

I Pray That............. October 2008

A wise person once said IF YOU PRAY, DON'T WORRY and IF YOU WORRY, DON'T PRAY.
You see, joy and depression cannot reside in the same place. It's either up or down, in or out, black or white, there's no room for grey when you pray.
When we worry our minds are always busy, our nerves a little more frayed and bodies a bit more weary. "Worry" is simply the brain over processing the information of an anticipated action, it can also manifest itself physically as an anxiety attack.
When we are worried we should look up to the sky and give thanks for the trial. Adversity can only make you stronger. Whatever the situation is, God has already worked it through, all you have to do is "walk it out". So I pray that we don't worry, and remember to tell God "I trust you".

Remember:

Romans 8:28
All things work together for good to them that LOVE GOD

It's In Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

AMEN

Joke of the Month................ October 2008

A guy was trying to console a friend who'd just found out his wife was cheating with another man."Get over it, buddy," he said. "It's not the end of the world." "That's easier said than done," answered his buddy. "What if you came home one night and caught your wife cheating?" The fella ponders for a moment, then says, "I'd break his cane and kick his seeing-eye dog in the butt."

I Pray That............ September 2008

With all the praise, honor and glory to my savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without judgment or offense.

I Pray that we are "Patience in Practice".

It's said that "Patience is a Virtue", so I'm sure at this time of year when the kids are going back to school and work is little more stressing and to take it to the next level, some of us are already preparing and anticipating the upcoming holiday season.
I mean seems it's not enough time to do anything these days and we want it all done yesterday (and by somebody else), just be patient.
For some, the stress of impatience will manifest itself in anger, depression or even worst.
Some of the symptoms of impatience; suffering from road rage, being quick to judge others (judge not...) negative outburst when things are not done fast enough for us, always have to be done our way. Our impatience makes us lash out at love ones for the smallest of things, just be patient.

RELAX, all things happen in time and not a nanosecond before or after. God does see everything your doing and he's just walking you through it, so take your time you'll get to hold his hand a little longer. I pray that we are patience in practice, in all that we do.

Remember:

Proverbs 14:30
A relaxed attitude lengthens mans life
(A sound heart is life to the body)

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

AMEN

Joke of the Month.......... September 2008

A man went to his window to close his blinds and saw there were people in his shed in the process of breaking into his shed.

He immediately phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and George said "no" and explained the situation.

The Police said, "all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his doors and an officer would be there when available".

George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.

"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people breaking into my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them all."

Then he hung up and within five minutes, three squad cars, an armed response unit, and an ambulance showed up. The thieves, now in the shed were caught red-handed.

One of the policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"

George responded to the policeman: "I thought you said all patrols were busy and there was nobody available!"

I Pray That.............August 2008

With all the praise, honor and glory to my savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without judgment or offense.
I Pray that, we are "Christ reflecting".

Many of us are faithful church goers and believe in teachings of Jesus Christ, but do we reflect his word in our daily actions? When people look at us we would like them to see the makings of a person with good intentions, compassion, humility, and selflessness to name a few, but are we reflecting these traits in our daily walk or only on Sundays and during church services.

I know we all fall short, but we should all try our best to make sure that when people see us they see the tenents of Christ.

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

Amen

Joke of the Month..............August 2008

A wealthy man decided to go on a safari in Africa. He took his faithful pet dachshund along for company. One day, the dachshund starts chasing butterflies and before long the dachshund discovers that he is lost.
So, wandering about, he notices a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the obvious intention of having him for lunch. The dachshund thinks, "OK, I'm in deep trouble now!" Then he noticed some bones on the ground close by, and immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the dachshund exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard. I wonder if there are any more around here." Hearing this, the leopard halts his attack in mid-stride, as a look of terror comes over him, and slinks away into the trees. "Whew," says the leopard. "That was close. That dachshund nearly had me." Meanwhile, a monkey, who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So, off he goes.
But the dachshund saw him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figured that something must be up.
The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine." Now the dachshund sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back, and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet ... and, just when they get close enough to hear, the dachshund says..................
"Where's that darn monkey? Sent him off half an hour ago to bring me another leopard."

Joke of the Month...............July 2008

Three dogs are sitting in the waiting room of a Vets office. One is a poodle, one is a schnauzer and
the other is a Great Dane. The poodle turns to the schnauzer and asks "why are you here?"
The schnauzer responds, "I'm 17 years old. I don't see or hear very well. I've been having accidents in the house. My owner says I'm too old and sick so he brought me here to be put to sleep."
The schnauzer asks the poodle "why are you here?"
The poodle responds, "I've not been myself lately. I've been especially high strung. I've been
barking all the time, I've been snapping at people and I even bit one of the
neighbor's kids. Nobody knows why this has been happening. My owner says he
can't risk me biting somebody else so he brought me here to be put to sleep. "The poodle and schnauzer ask the great Dane why he is here. The great Dane responds: "My owner is this beautiful runway model. Yesterday after her
shower, she tried to grab something from the medicine cabinet and dropped her
towel. The next thing I know I'm wrapped around her leg, I just couldn't help myself. "The poodle asks: "so she brought you here to put to sleep?"
"Oh, no...., I'm just here to get my nails
trimmed."

I Pray That..............July 2008

With all the praise and glory my Savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without offense or judgment.

I Pray that we are "Praising through our adversity".

Many of us find it easy to give God the praise when things are all well and good. On the other hand when we find ourselves in a less than desirable moment and we're thinking negative thoughts, our faces are tight and our "presha" is up, God is the last person we are thinking about. As a matter of fact, our first reaction is usually to react in an ungodly manner to what frustrated us.

I Pray that when things are not going the way we would like, the first thing we do is praise our way through it. You'd be surprised what praising God can do for our spirit in the midst of adversity.
Give it a try, we've tried everything else, lets try praising our way through it, lets turn our pressure into praise.

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

Amen

Some of us are living life "as it comes" and when are dismayed when the results of living that type of lifestyle nets us a negative result. Happy Father's Day

Just wishing all the fathers/ dads a Happy Father's Day! Here are some words to reflect on. They are not my own but it's worthwhile.

1. Respect Your Children's Mother
If you are married, keep your marriage strong and vital. If you're not married, it is still important to respect and support the mother of your children. When children see their parents respecting each other, they are also more likely to feel that they are also accepted and respected.

2. Spend Time with Your Children
How a father spends his time tells his children what's important to him. If you always seem too busy for your children, they will feel neglected, no matter what you say. Treasuring children often means sacrificing other things, but it is essential to spend time with your children.

3. Earn the Right to Be Heard
All too often, the only time a father speaks to his children is when they have done something wrong. Begin talking with your kids when they are young, so that difficult subjects will be easier to handle as they get older. Take time and listen to their ideas and problems.

4. Discipline with Love
All children need guidance and discipline, not as punishment, but to set reasonable limits. Remind your children of the consequences of their actions and provide meaningful rewards for desirable behavior. Fathers who discipline in a calm and fair manner show love for their children.
5. Be a Role Model
Fathers are role models to their kids, whether they realize it or not. A girl who spends time with a loving father grows up knowing she deserves to be respected by boys. Fathers can teach sons what is important in life by demonstrating honesty, humility and responsibility.

6. Be a Teacher
Too many fathers think teaching is something others do. But a father who teaches his children about right and wrong, and encourages them to do their best, will see his children make good choices. Involved fathers use everyday examples to help their children learn the basic lessons of life.

7. Eat Together as a Family
Sharing a meal together can be an important part of healthy family life. In addition to providing some structure in a busy day, it gives kids the chance to talk about what they are doing and want to do. It is also a good time for fathers to listen and give advice.

8. Read to Your Children
Children learn best by doing and reading, as well as seeing and hearing. Begin reading to your children when they are very young. When they are older, encourage them to read on their own. Instilling your children with a love for reading is one of the best ways to ensure they will have a lifetime of personal and career growth.

9. Show Affection
Children need the security that comes from knowing they are wanted, accepted and loved by their family. Parents need to feel both comfortable and willing to hug their children. Showing affection every day is the best way to let your children know that you love them.

10. Realize That a Father's Job Is Never Done
Even after children are grown and ready to leave home, they will still look to their fathers for wisdom and advice. Fathers continue to play an essential part in the lives of their children as they grow and, perhaps, marry and build their own families.

MOTHERS

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in their arms, wiping up puke laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, 'It's okay honey, Mommy's here'.
Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who can't be comforted. This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse.
For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T.
This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes.
This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors.
And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at football , hockey or soccer games instead of watching from the warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, 'Did you see me, Mom?' they could say, 'Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world,' and mean it.
This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead, but realize how child abuse happens.
This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers who wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.
This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat.
For all the mothers who read 'Goodnight, Moon' twice a night for a year. And then read it again. 'Just one more time.'
This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started school. And for all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead.
This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot.
This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a little voice calls 'Mom?' in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at home -- or even away at college.
This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach aches, assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get calls from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up. Right away.
This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the words to reach them.
For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their 14 year old dye their hair green.
For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the mothers of those who did the shooting.
For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front of their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from school, safely.
This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful, and now pray they come home safely from a war.
What makes a good Mother anyway?
Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time?
Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time?
The jolt that t takes you from sleep to dread, from bed to crib at 2 A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?
The panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe again in your home?
Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?
The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation...
And mature mothers learning to let go.
For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.
Single mothers and married mothers.
Mothers with money, mothers without.
This is for you all. For all of us.
Hang in there. In the end we can only do the best we can. Tell them every day that we love them. And pray.

'Home is what catches you when you fall. l - and we all fall.'

The Absence of Color is not the Color Of Absence

Hey Fam. Just thought I'd Share a Little Project I've been workin on with some friends. The Title Of Course is "The Absence of Color is not The Color Of Absence".. Now i'm not the First to do it, but i'd thought i'd give it a try...Notice Each Picture is in Black and White.. Some say with COLOR brings LIFE to a Picture.. a story.... a feeling.. or it shed a Brighter Light on a situation/gives a better understanding...

This is The Color of Class and Style...Without Color .. Do you Not See Swagger??

This is The Color Of Sorrow...Do you need the Colors to feel her pain?

This is The Color Of CHANGE... Will a Splash of Color Help You Understand the Legacy??

This is The Color of YOUTH....Can't you Tell with out the hints of yellow or splashes of blue?

This is The Color Of SACRIFICE.....

Well Fam Thats all I Have For Now.. HOPE you liked it so far.. IF you want to add on .. hit me up with some more ideas.. Love .. Peace n Blessingz

JUST A MOM?

A woman, renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk's office, was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation.
She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself.
'What I mean is,' explained the recorder,
'do you have a job or are you just a ?'
'Of course I have a job,' snapped the woman.
'I'm a Mom.'
'We don't list 'Mom' as an occupation,
'housewife' covers it,'
Said the recorder emphatically.
I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself
in the same situation, this time at our own Town Hall.
The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised,
efficient, and possessed of a high sounding title like,
'Official Interrogator' or 'Town Registrar.'
'What is your occupation?' she probed.
What made me say it? I do not know.
The words simply popped out.
'I'm a Research Associate in the field of
Child Development and Human Relations.'
The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in midair and
looked up as though she had not heard right.
I repeated the title slowly emphasizing the most significant words.
Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written,
in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.
'Might I ask,' said the clerk with new interest,
'just what you do in your field?'
Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice,
I heard myself reply,
'I have a continuing program of research,
(what mother doesn't)
In the laboratory and in the field,
(normally I would have said indoors and out).
I'm working for my Masters, (first the Lord and then the whole family)
and already have four credits (all daughters).
Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities,
(any mother care to disagree?)
and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it).
But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers
and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money.'

There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she
completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door.
As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career,
I was greeted by my lab assistants -- ages 13, 7, and 3.
Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model,
(a 6 month old baby) in the child development program,
testing out a new vocal pattern.
I felt I had scored a beat on bureaucracy!
And I had gone on the official records as someone more

distinguished and indispensable to mankind than 'just another Mom.'

Motherhood!
What a glorious career!
Especially when there's a title on the door.
Does this make grandmothers
'Senior Research associates in the field of Child Development and Human Relations'
And great grandmothers
'Executive Senior Research Associates?'
I think so!!!
I also think it makes Aunts '

Associate Research Assistants.
May your troubles be less,

Your blessing be more,

And nothing but happiness come through your door!
AMEN!!

I Pray That..................May 2008

With all the praise and glory my Savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without offense or judgment.

In life through our actions and interactions, we will ask others to be, give, try and even do sometimes the seemingly impossible, yet we are unwilling to ask the same of ourselves. Some of us would even take offense when others "dare" have the same expectation of us.

I Pray That, we strive to be the example we want and ask others to be and not hold others to expectations we are unwilling to live up to ourselves.

I Pray That, we do not resent or hold judgment against those who fall short of our expectations and that we expect no less of ourselves than we do of others.

I Pray That, we are living the life that we expect of others and that we ask ourselves, when we to go others with expectation "would I be willing to be, give, try and even do sometimes the seemingly impossible for others"?.

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

Amen

PS. All monthly "I pray that" will be original writings.

Striving to be the example...........

HOW TO HANDLE HATERS

A hater is someone that is jealous and envious and spends all their timetrying to make you look small so they can look tall.
When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters... That's whyyou have to be careful who you share your blessings and your dreams withbecause some folk can't handle seeing you blessed...
It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be likesomebody else He would have given you what he gave them.
You don't know what people have gone through to get what they have... (Theproblem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but theydon't know my story...) If the grass looks greener on the other side of thefence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too.
We've all got some haters among us:Some people don't like it that you can
Come to church*
Get your praise on*
Bless His Holy Name*
Haters don't want to see you happy*
Haters don't want to see you succeed*
Haters don't want you get the victory*
Most of our haters are people that are supposed to be on our side. How doyou handle the haters who you at least expect to have your guard upagainst? You can handle your haters by:
1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
2. Having a purpose
3. By remembering what you have is by divineprerogative and not human manipulation.
Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still beunfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you tobe. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.
You will always be trying to get stuff because the more stuff you have willimprove what others think about you, but what others think will last aslong as the stuff last.
When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, "Don't look atme...Look at who is in charge of me...
Remember, it ain't about you, but it's all about God.
