I Pray That.............December 2008

With all the praise, honor and glory to my savior Jesus Christ, I ask that you accept these words without judgment or offense.

I Pray that we "Appreciate the ability".

I've begun to reflect on why I have been given some of the abilities I have. I have the ability to do a few things well and because of this, I live the same. I've often wondered in my life "why me" why do I have to be the one that has to do this and has to do that, and how did someone elses situation become my burden, but do you know that if God had taken away the things that I used to complain about the most, I WOULD BE NOTHING TODAY.

I've begun to take stock of my God given abilities and have I am truly appreciative of them. I truly understand that to whom much is given much is required. I now know why I have the abilities that I do and for whom they are to be used for.

Our God given abilities and gifts are not for our benefit but for the benefit of others and the glorification of God. So the next time you feel like complaining about your abilities, just imagine life without them.

It's in Jesus name I say this prayer to you,

Joke of the Month................December 2008

A two-year-old boy scared his parents by disappearing during their lakeside vacation. More than a dozen people searched the forest and shoreline for him. They eventually found him playing calmly in the woods. Once everyone calmed down his mother pulled him aside and said "Listen to me, from now on when you want to go someplace, you tell Mommy first, okay?" Pondering what his mother just said, the boy went silent for a moment and said: "Okay, Disney World."..

Sister Daveen picked this song, apparently she can't get it out of her head. Seems every time we talk on the phone, this is the song she keeps asking me to make the song of the month. We hope this song will lead you "get up" and do good work in your life. Life is too short and many of us spend the time just wandering around aimlessly. As the song says "24 hours almost gone, GET UP"!!!
